Happy Library Giving Day!
Today is a day to recognize the incredible work done in library systems throughout North America. Here in Philadelphia, the Free Library serves as a center of inspiration and learning, and Library Giving Day is a great opportunity to show your Free Library love.
Did you know that while the City of Philadelphia provides public funding for the Library’s operations, the Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation raises private support for hundreds of programs and services in libraries across the city? When you make a tax-deductible gift to the Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation, you enable the Foundation to support neighborhood libraries, childhood literacy services, citywide afterschool programs, opportunities for job seekers, civic engagement programs, and so much more!
In fact, in honor of Library Giving Day and National Library Week (coming up April 23–29), your gift will be doubled throughout the month of April! We are asking for your support to help the continuation and expansion of library programs beloved by learners of all ages! Make a donation to the Free Library Foundation right now and our Board of Directors will match it $1-for-$1, up to $25,000! Learn more and make a gift today!
Your gift will help the Library continue incredible programs and services in neighborhood libraries. Whether your gift helps a child learn to read, a job seeker find a new career, or ESL learners learn English through cooking — you’ll help make a difference in lives across the city. Thank you for your support!
