Free Workshop: Intellectual Property Basics at the Free Library

Are you an inventor, small business owner, or non-profit looking to better understand how to protect your business or invention? Do you want to learn what type of intellectual property will best fit your business? The BRIC and Patent and Trademark Resource Center are offering a free Intellectual Property Workshop that introduces basic intellectual property concepts to you.

This workshop will be held Tuesday, August 6, from 3:00–4:00 p.m. Advanced registration is required for this event. 

The workshop will cover:

  • The four types of intellectual property
  • The difference between all four types of intellectual property
  • The benefits of a federal registration
  • Common reasons for application refusals
