Join Charles Durham Library for Animal Tales from the Philadelphia Zoo!

By Anthony T. RSS Mon, September 16, 2024

The Free Library of Philadelphia and the Philadelphia Zoo are two of the City of Brotherly Love’s oldest and most respected institutions, so it’s only fitting that they are teaming up in the coming months to present Animal Tales at Charles L. Durham Library.

One Thursday per month from October 2024 through April 2025, a Philadelphia Zoo representative will visit Charles L. Durham Library for a storytime featuring a special guest star — one of the animals from the story! Educators from the Zoo will tell us more about these furry (or scaled) friends during an unforgettable afternoon of animal themed-activities.

The species of our animal visitors won’t be announced until the day of the program, so make sure to attend as many Animal Tales as possible! Each program will take place on a Thursday at 3:30 p.m., and dates of the series are as follows:

This program is suited for school-aged children and their parents or guardians.

Charles L. Durham Library has been serving the Mantua and Powelton communities since 1979, and is located just a few blocks south of its frequent collaborator the Philadelphia Zoo.
