Bookish Social Networking

By Communications Office RSS Mon, March 24, 2008

LibraryThing isn't the only social-networking website aimed at booklovers. There's also Goodreads, Shelfari, aNobii, and BookJetty, among others. "Think of it as Facebook or MySpace for people who'd rather browse in a book shop than go to a party," suggests NPR's Martha Woodroof. While each of these sites' specific features and offerings vary, all of them "allow readers to keep track of books they have read or books they want to read or buy--and see what others are reading and recommending."
