One Film Winds Down

By Shannon G RSS Tue, March 10, 2009

Got any plans tomorrow night? Well now you do—it’s your last chance to participate in the 2009 One Film program! This year, One Film featured Julian Schnabel’s Basquiat, and organizations throughout the region hosted screenings, discussions, performances, and dinners, all with the goal of promoting film literacy in our city. The 2009 program, which began on February 18, attracted double the amount of community members from last year's inaugural program!

Which events did you attend this year? What did you think of Basquiat? Share your opinions with us in the feedback section, and be sure to click on the links below for more information on our closing day events.

Dinner and a Movie: Basquiat
Broad Street Ministry, 6:00 p.m.

The Agony and the Ecstasy: Basquiat as Artist
Parkway Central Library, 7:00 p.m.

Book to Film: A Comparative Discussion of Basquiat and The Soloist
Parkway Central Library, 7:00 p.m.

Animation movie? Lol I can watch anything else except animation. I just love realistic movies and nothing else.. specially comedy. Everyone has their own choice though, this one looks really interesting :) - Angela T.
