Philly Plays Scrabble Begins!

By Camille T. RSS Thu, October 1, 2009

Philly Plays Scrabble kicked off this morning when Philadelphia Deputy Police Commissioner Charlotte Council and Fire Commissioner Lloyd Ayers squared off for a friendly game of Scrabble in Parkway Central. Local students chimed in with strategies and help, and in the end Deputy Commissioner Council won.

Join us for a month-long tournament of Scrabble at various branches throughout the city. Find all scrabble events in our calendar.

Nice article from Philly.com about the kick off tournament. http://www.philly.com/philly/news/local/20091002_Top_officials_set_Scrabble_tourney_example.html Apparently in Scrabble, Harry Potter words like AUROR count!
