Celebrate Black joy while learning how to talk to children about race, at this fun-filled outdoor event! Lisa Browne, of Colorful Stories, will lead a walkthrough and discussion on Lovett Park’s Black Lives Matter book walk. Afterwards, Karen Smith will perform on drums and local author John Butler (aka Cousin John) will read one of his Chase picture books. There will be book giveaways, crafts, cookies, and more! This event is supported by the Friends of Lovett Library and Weaver’s Way Co-Op.
