Join us for our final Leadership Lesson event! During this session we will chat with Cassandra D. Bennett, President and CEO, ComForCare Home Care of Montgomery County.
The Leadership Lessons series focuses on the real world of business. Each session features an entrepreneur in a different field and with different background. We will explore their education, life experience, and career paths. Additionally, we will investigate their businesses and their biggest challenges. Speakers will offer career advice and comment about what they learned that is not in the textbooks.
Following each talk, there will be a question and answer session.
The Leadership Lessons series is appropriate for managers, entrepreneurs, those who would like to be entrepreneurs, and those looking for career opportunities with a variety of employers.

Cassandra D. Bennett, MSA, President & CEO, ComForCare Home Care of Montgomery County, is a dedicated healthcare professional with twenty-five years of experience in clinical and non-clinical environments. As the Director of Network Management with a Fortune 50 health care insurance company, Ms. Bennett managed a team responsible for provider relations and negotiating complex hospital, physician and ancillary provider contracts for Commercial and Medicare health plans in Southeastern Pennsylvania. She successfully built a physician network in the mid-west region and integrated two provider network operations due to a merger. She held the position of Network Manager for Government Health Plans and was recognized as an influential member of the leadership team contributing to researching and writing the service contract proposal that won the largest contract in the Company’s 150 year history. Ms. Bennett served seven years in the United States Army as a Medical Laboratory Specialist and held positions that were responsible for examining cells under a microscope, analyzing body fluids, production, reporting, continuous process improvement, and meeting legislative and regulatory requirements. She earned an undergraduate degree in public administration from Park University and a graduate degree in health services administration from Central Michigan University.
Lee Tabas was Executive in Residence and Adjunct Professor at Philadelphia University and taught banking, finance, marketing and entrepreneurship. He was also President of Royal Bank of Pennsylvania. Mr. Tabas is an entrepreneur himself, first in the restaurant business and now as President of TABASFUNDING, a business providing funding for entrepreneurs who want to acquire or expand businesses.
