In the Path of Islam Virtual Program: Meet The Jewels of Islam
Virtual
The Jewels of Islam was established 1989 in Philadelphia PA, since its inception the program continues to provide a supportive network to Muslim women 50 years and older. The programs include Spiritual Enlightenment, Health and Wellness, Resource Networking, Islamic & Quranic Studies, Social and Recreational Engagement. Over 55% of the membership has made the pilgrimage to Mecca. Although the programs were designed to meet the needs of Muslim Women, the scope of services later designed a interfaith Initiative which builds collaborations with non-Muslim women in our community. The outreach creates a wholesome environment to share, educate and network. With the Mercy and help of Allah (SWT) It is the intention and mission of the Jewel's to sustain its programs and to encourage developing generations of Muslim women to continue its works.
In this program meet three Jewels: Co-Founder & Director, Hajjah Rafiqa Abdul-Rasheed, M.S., Sistah Aisamah Muhammad-Muneer and Sister Linda Toia. They will share stories, their connections to Islam, and the development of the organization and its commitment to interfaith collaboration.
