Urban Foraging with Lady Danni
FDR Park Entrance at 20th and Pattinson Avenue
Many people think you have to go deep into the woods to forage, but you can find plants that can provide food and medicine anywhere plants will grow, and that includes lawns and in the cracks of the sidewalk. This walk is to show you the beauty and utility of many of the plants you may consider weeds.
Join Lady Danni on a walk at FDR Park to learn more about the plants that grow in the Philadelphia/Lenapehoking area and how they’re used. We will meet at 20th and Pattinson Ave. on the edge of FDR Park and walk together. The route may have uneven or wet terrain so please wear supportive closed-toe footwear such as hiking boots or sneakers and be prepared to walk for 2 hours.
This program is free, though requires pre-registration here: tinyurl.com/2p8m3tfj
