Bird Walks: Introduction to Spring Migration
Andorra Library
Join Martin Selzer, a local naturalist and life-long birder, on this series of informational bird walks at Houston Meadow. Learn about migration, bird species and behaviors, spotting birds and more! We will meet on Cathedral Road, near Wissahickon Avenue, in front of the Courtesy Stable.
Binoculars (in Birding Backpacks) are available for loan from select Free Library locations including Andorra. A limited number will also be available for use on the day of each walk.
These walks will take place on April 26, May 3 and 17. Participants are welcome to join us for all or part of the walk - you can leave when necessary for work or school. Walks can last for 2+ hours and will cancel for steady rain. All levels of experience are welcome.
This program is presented in partnership with the Wissahickon Environmental Center.
