Pop-Up Astronomy - Sorry, cancelled for tonight.
Joseph E. Coleman Northwest Regional Library
Join us for a look at the early evening moon through a telescope as part of Popscope. Popscope is an urban movement that aims to reconnect diverse communities to the night sky, and to each other, by hosting and facilitating free, pop-up astronomy nights in public spaces. This evening we will be meeting to look up at the moon through a telescope. Tonight, the moon will be a waxing crescent at 36% illumination. The moon will be passing the local meridian (directly overhead) at 6:02 p.m, during the time we are set up.
We will meet outside, at the corner of Greene and Chelten, near the bus stop. We will be looking up from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. For all ages.
