Watercolor Cut-Paper Collage Workshop with Christa Walck
Art Department at Parkway Central Library
Class and waitlist are currently FULL. Sign up for the Art Department Newsletter to find out about the next workshop here.
While collage is often made from images cut from magazines, in this free two hour workshop participants will make collages from paper that they have painted with watercolor and marked with pens or markers. Simply paint color and abstract designs and/or draw simple images onto paper and then cut out a variety of shapes and put them together into interesting images!
If you have watercolors, pens, markers or scissors that you like to use, please bring them; paper, watercolors, brushes, scissors and glue sticks will be provided.
No previous experience with watercolor is required.
All tools and supplies (paper, watercolors, brushes, scissors and glue sticks) will be provided, however registered participants are welcome to bring their own xacto knives, cutting mats, watercolors, pens, markers or scissors that you like to use.
This free workshop is part of a series made possible by a partnership between the Free Library's Art Department and the Philadelphia Center for the Book. Due to the popularity of these free book arts workshops, there are only a limited number of spots available and this class is currently FULL. For questions please contact the Art Department at 215-686-5403 or by emailing erefart@freelibrary.org.
