PECO Family Jams: May Flowers
The Magic Gardens, 1020 South Street
Originally used to decorate only churches and altars, tissue paper flowers now brighten nearly every celebration in Mexico. Over the years, we have learned that making tissue paper flowers also brightens hearts. Today, we gather to celebrate spring (and Moms) with fantastic blooms of color you can take home.
In conjunction with the Free Library’s “One Book One Philadelphia” program, we are also offering readings of Can Bears Ski? by Raymond Antrobus. Follow Little Bear as he navigates the world and begins to understand his deafness. These readings will be held in our fully mosaicked basement after the free basement tours at 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. American Sign Language interpretation will be available for these tours and readings.
Additional free tours of the basement will be held at 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.
PECO Family Jams are PMG’s family-oriented programs, held on the second Sunday of every month between noon and 4:00 pm. Crafts and basement tours are included with regular admission to PMG. Purchase your regular admission ticket here.
