Printmaking as Resistance Workshop
Print and Picture Collection at Parkway Central Library
Join artist Gabriel Echeverri for a special workshop inspired by prints from Special Collections! Participants will view and discuss materials from the Print and Picture Collection and the Map Collection, considering how printmaking has played a role in resistance movements throughout history and around the world. They will then be led in a hands-on lesson in the basics of printmaking. All materials will be provided, and each person will create their own resistance-themed block print. Afterward, participants can take a basic set of tools home to continue their art journey.
Participants will meet in Room 211, The Print and Picture Collection. Space for this workshop is limited. Please register at bit.ly/FLPprint
