Street Dance Classes: Beginner Hip-Hop

Back by popular demand! Urban Movement Arts returns to the Free Library of Philadelphia to offer a series of dance classes. These are all 1 hour long classes for adult beginners. In the Fall, we're having Waacking, House, and Hip-Hop classes. Our last class is Hip-Hop with Alexis! Reserve your space using our Google Form!
What to expect: This class will cover basic bounces, body rocks and party dances seen in Hip Hop dance.
About the instructor: Alexis Roberto Curiel (He/Him) is an Afro-Latino Dominican American dancer and choreographer, born and raised in Miami, Florida, based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He embraces a multidisciplinary background including Hip Hop, Contemporary, Jazz, Modern, Ballet, African, Afro-Caribbean dance, as well as music editing and video making. He received a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia Pennsylvania, & currently works as an instructor at Urban Movement Arts for the adults & youth in philly, while collaborating with fellow dance artists within his community. Through versatility and virtuosity Alexis indulges in his love for commercial, concert, & street dance as he commits to connecting with & inspiring communities that he embraces.
