Film Screening: Jason and the Argonauts (1963)
Map Collection at Parkway Central Library
To accompany "Telling Tales: From Oral Tradition to Art," the latest Special Collections exhibition on the 2nd floor of Parkway Central Library, we are showing three films related to mythology this fall! The series includes Jason and the Argonauts (1963) on Monday, October 28th, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (2022) on Saturday, November 23rd, and Clash of the Titans (1981) on Monday, December 16th.
Join us on Monday, October 28th at 5:30 p.m. for the first of these three screenings. We will be watching the Greek mythology-inspired film Jason and the Argonauts. Using stop-motion animation, this 1963 film features numerous creatures and includes a fight scene with seven skeleton warriors, just in time for Halloween!
Find us on the 4th floor of Parkway Central in Room 405. This event is free and open to the public with no prior registration required. We hope to see you there!
Be sure to stop by the 2nd Floor West Gallery at Parkway Central to view our "Telling Tales" exhibition, which features materials from the Children's Literature Research Collection, Map Collection, and Print and Picture Collection. The exhibition is up from October 15th through January 4th.
