Bridging Blocks: “Gentrification”
Parkway Central Library
This event will be held in Parkway Central's Skyline Room - please take the gold lobby elevators to the 4th Floor.
Philadelphia has seen a sharp increase in new housing units in the city but, affordability is a huge issue plaguing residents. According to data from The Pew Charitable Trust, the median price for a single-family, entry-level home increased 171 % from $59,000 in 2000 to $160,000 in 2021. How do we balance the need for affordable housing with the need to meet the market's demands?
