Intro to Zine Making with Bread Tarleton
Art Department at Parkway Central Library
Workshop sign-ups will open on Tuesday, January 21st at 12 pm for a limited time.
This workshop will teach a few methods of bookbinding and zine-making, including saddle stitch zines (both stapled and sewn), one sheet zines (8 page and 16 pages), and potentially Japanese stab binding. Students will leave the workshop with a zine of each type, and knowledge about how to reproduce them.
All materials and tools will be supplied, but you are welcome to bring any of your own tools and supplies.
Due to the popularity of these free classes we are unable to admit everyone who wishes to participate. In order to expand access we will randomize final selection of participants instead of first sign-up, first admitted. Sign-ups for the class will open on Tuesday January 21st at 12pm for a limited time. If you'd like to be considered for the class, please come back to this calendar event to fill out the google form at that time. We will email you to let you know within a few days whether you are in the class or on the waitlist.
Every Month from February to June, the Art Department partners with the Philadelphia Center for the Book to offer free book arts workshops. For questions, please contact the Art Department at 215-686-5403 or by emailing erefart@freelibrary.org.
