printPhilly! 2025 Lecture: The Print Center and the Continuous Contemporary
Print and Picture Collection at Parkway Central Library
Join Lauren Rosenblum, The Print Center's Jensen Bryan Curator, for a lecture about the history of The Print Center on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 11 AM.
Since its founding in 1915, Philadelphia stalwart The Print Center has been a medium-specific venue dedicated to printmaking as a fine art. In many ways, its core programming has persisted. Exhibitions reflect the concerns of their times and the gallery store cultivates a buying public to support working artists. How, then, can these two platforms be understood to have defined over one hundred years of modern and contemporary graphics?
The lecture will take place at 11 AM in room 131/132, Heim Center, Parkway Central Library during the 2025 printPHILLY! Print Fair. printPHILLY! is free and open to the public from 10 AM to 4 PM. Visit the Philadelphia Print Consortium's website at printphilly.org for more info.
