The Free Library is kicking off the Words at Play Vocabulary Initiative —generously funded by PNC Grow Up Great—with a lively and family-friendly block party at the Cecil B. Moore Library on Saturday, May 9 from 12:00 –4:00 p.m. The event will feature fun activities led by the Library in collaboration with the Franklin Institute, the Kimmel Center, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the Philadelphia Zoo. The Words at Play Vocabulary Initiative is focused on families with children ages birth to 5 years, and will offer new ideas to help strengthen their child’s vocabulary through fun-filled, everyday activities.
