Faculty and Friends of the Music Department of Community College of Philadelphia under the direction of Department Chair Robert A. M. Ross will present a unique program of a capella sacred vocal music in the Grand Lobby of the Parkway Central Library. The program will include works by Des Pres, Croce, Palestrina, da Viadana, and the world premiere of Drop Down, Ye Heavens (a motet in Renaissance style) by Mason Chadwick Shefa.

The Music Department of Community College of Philadelphia provides degree programs in Performance and in Sound Recording and Music Technology through a wide array of courses in music history, theory, applied performance, ensemble classes, and music technology.  Mr. Ross and faculty members will be available after the performance to answer questions about CCP's music department and degree programs.
