Beats, Lyrics, and Licensing: Legal Education for Musicians + Producers
Music Department at Parkway Central Library
Thanks to a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts and support from Neiman Marcus, Philadelphia Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts (PVLA) is proud to present a new event series, "The Creative Entrepreneur: Helping Young + Emerging Artists Navigate the Business World."
The last of this series will be Beats, Lyrics, and Licensing: Legal Education for Musicians + Producers. The goal of the event is to help musicians understand how to protect their own music and how to use other artists' work legally.
The event will consist of a panel discussion featuring attorneys with copyright and music licensing expertise. Participants will also have the opportunity to have a one-on-one consultation with an attorney to have their specific copyright and licensing questions answered.
The event will be free of charge. All participants must register beforehand.
