The Nonprofit Nerds Guide to Freelancing - A Freelance February Event
Regional Foundation Center at Parkway Central Library
What we'll do
Are you a freelancer interested in working with mission-driven organizations? Is your nonprofit organization trying to hire a freelancer for short-term or long-term collaborations? Then you're in luck - this presentation is for freelancers AND the nonprofits that want to hire them! Join us for a session that offers best practices for finding freelance work and what to consider when hiring a freelancer as a nonprofit. Plus, Philadelphia-area attorney/contract guru Frank Taney of Taney Legal will help us break down the legal aspects of freelancing, including tips for making a contract template and how to abide by Pennsylvania labor laws. We will also include a brief period for networking, so bring your business cards!
