The Forgotten Schoolhouse: An Original Song and Poetry Tribute to Honor Black Civil Rights Leaders in Education
Music Department at Parkway Central Library
Come HEAR AND SEE The Forgotten Schoolhouse, a new stirring concert tribute to civil rights leaders in education featuring powerful original songs and poetry by Cynthia Cozette Lee and Hazel Ann Lee, the award-winning sister songwriting team. Join us as we commemorate Juneteenth Day and honor great educators and civil rights leaders, such as Mary McLeod Bethune, George Washington Carver, W.E.B. Du Bois and Booker T. Washington. These historical figures were all pioneers in their fields whose shoulders we stand on today.
