Music Department at
Parkway Central Library
Come HEAR AND SEE The Forgotten Schoolhouse, a new stirring concert tribute to civil rights leaders in education featuring powerful original songs and poetry by Cynthia Cozette Lee and Hazel Ann Lee, the award-winning sister songwriting team. Join us as we commemorate Juneteenth Day and honor great educators and civil rights leaders, such as Mary McLeod Bethune, George Washington Carver, W.E.B. Du Bois and Booker T. Washington. These historical figures were all pioneers in their fields whose shoulders we stand on today.
RSVP for your FREE tickets here! (registration is never mandatory for our performances and just lets our organizers know how many folks to expect)
