UPDATE: THIS EVENT IS BEING POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Food and health writer Joy Manning leads attendees through hosting a healthier happy hour at home with non-alcoholic drinks and vegan foods.
If getting together with friends after work is supposed to be fun, why can happy hour often make you feel crummy the next day? It might be the alcohol and greasy food that often is standard at a bar. In this class, food and health writer Joy Manning will lead attendees through hosting a healthier happy hour -- at home. We'll learn about homemade and store-bought non-alcoholic drink options. Joy will also demonstrate a couple easy, make-ahead plant-based snacks including vegan queso with baked tortilla chips and kale-pesto phyllo cups. You'll leave the class knowing how to make happy hour a time to connect that will leave you feeling energized -- even the next morning.
Pre-registration is required; tickets are $0-$20 and include generous tastings of non-alcoholic drinks and plant-based bites.
SNAP-eligible participants are provided with a free ticket, with advance communication. Please call the Culinary Literacy Center at 215-686-5323 to receive one of these reserved tickets, no questions asked. For more information, email email@example.com.
