- This collection consists of research materials, drafts, correspondences, and promotional materials for works created by Donna Gephart. The papers span from 2008 - 2018 and include materials for the following titles: As if Being 12 3/4 Isn't Bad Enough, My Mother is Running for President (2008); How to Survive Middle School (2010); Olivia Bean, Trivia Queen (2012); Death by Toilet Paper (2014); Lily and Dunkin (2016); In Your Shoes (2018).
Author Donna Gephart 's work encompasses young adult and middle-grade novels, chapter books, and picture books. She has been published by numerous houses, including Penguin Random House, Simon & Schuster and Holiday House.
Gephart recieved the Sid Fleischman Humor Award in 2009 for the funniest children's book of the year for As If Being 12-3/4 Isn't Bad Enough, My Mother is Running for President . Lily and Dunkin was included on the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA)'s Best Fiction for Young Adults selection list of 2017 and the Junior Library Guild Selections list of 2016 (Middle Grade). Her middle grade novel Death by Toilet Paper was included on the The Children's Book Council's Children's Favorites Award list of 2015.
Gephart resides in the greater Philadelphia area.
