Car 1087 bought from Laclede by Phila Traction Co. in 1893. Two cars of this type first operated on afternoon of Dec 16, 1893 when the 13th & 15th Street Lines opened. Car had red plush seats. Horse cars placed in service for remainder of afternoon. Following day all electric cars were used. When Phila. Traction was leased to Union Traction (1902) - there was no glass partition in front of motorman.
