This is mass production -- 1913 style! The moving assembly line, basis
of mass production, was introduced by Henry Ford that spring. In August, the
principle was applied to the chassis assembly. One month later, when this photo
was taken at Ford Motor Company's Highland Park, Mich., plant, Model T assembly
time had been cut from 14 hours to 93 minutes.
