Notes:
Exterior view of the small two-and-one-half story school house, renamed the "Levering Primary School" in 1847. Shows the side and front of the building also used as a public hall. A gated pathway and fence are visible next to the school house. A large tree stands in the front yard. The school was rebuilt again in 1857. William Levering (1705-1774) was a proprietor with large land holdings who not only built the first school in Roxborough, but the first smith shop and inn.
