Notes:

Boise, Idaho: The car shortage has no fears for Dale Ashenfelter, ex-serviceman of this city, for with a little ingenuity and some odds and ends of material he whipped together this novel "home-made" auto, which boasts rear wheels, set close together, to serve for steering, enabling vehicle to "turn on a dime;" baggage compartment in front; motor in rear, eliminating noise in driver's compartment; body of camouflage blue canvas; maximum speed of 55 miles per hour or better; economical performance. Ashenfelter pieced his "dream car" together in about 16 months while he was stationed at Kirtland Field, N.M.
