Notes: "Traffic at this intersection was no less heavy in 1912 than it is in the 1970s. Professional and business men, travelers, laborers and shoppers all converged at this busy crossing. Well-dressed ladies and gentlemen suggest an affluence that is rarely to be seen here now. Reading Terminal occupies most of the foreground, and the old Hotel Vendig is at the left."--OPEP, p. 93.
Notes: The Reading Terminal on the corner. Street cars, trolley tracks, automobiles, horse-drawn carriages and people in the street. Sign on building: "Philadelphia & Reading Ry." On the left, glimpse of Hotel Vendig.
