"The Real Estate Trust Building, one of the first skyscrapers to be built in Philadelphia, now stands on this busy corner, once occupied by the establishment of Robert Steel, wine merchant. "--OPEP, p. 143.

Men standing on sidewalk on either side of Chestnut; one woman outside store. Horse and carriage on Chestnut; streetcar tracks on Chestnut. Building to the right on Broad Street side with signs: "Adams Express Company" ; "Danealia Cigar Factory" ; "Cigars" ; "Billiards" ; "Horn Hardart's Ice Cream."
