Notes: "This photograph was made after the merger between the Bellevue and the Stratford Hotels had been agreed upon. The Stratford was closed quite some time before the Bellevue to make way for the construction of the Bellevue-Stratford. As the sign indicates, the furnishings were disposed of at a public sale."--OPEP, p. [177].
