1971 Cadillac Features--(Upper left) The low horizontal front-end motif is highlighted by a new front bumper that has greater impact and parking protection.  Two vertical chrome bumper guards with rubber impact strips protect the front end of the car and reduce repair costs in minor impacts. The new stronger front-end structure provides a 45 per cent increase in energy absorption.

The elegant grille is of traditional Cadillac cross-hatch design and gives a bold new look to the area in front of the engine.

(Upper right) The long hood on the Fleetwood Eldorado sports a new stand-up Candillac crest. This proud touch on these classic cars is spring-mounted to meet safety requirements and resist damage.

(Lower) The 1971 Cadillac instrument panel has been completely redesigned with the cluster controls angled toward the driver and located for maximum visibility, accessibility and convenience. All accessory switches and controls are fully lighted. Bulb servicing has been made easier by placing the warning lights on the right side of the instrument panel where they are easily accessible. Cadillac continues to be a leader in the use of energy absorbing plastic construction in the instrument panel design. Additional significant levels of energy absorption are gained in 1971.
