Detroit-- The 1972 Cadillac Sedan de Ville highlights a front end with a new lighting arrangement, a new grille and an improved bumper. The traditional Cadillac cross hatch grille has horizontal accent bars, and appears to float within the bold new molding that frames the grille. For 1972 the parking lamp has been moved out of the bumper area to a location between the head lamps and features a Cadillac winged crest on the lens. The traditional "V" emblem returns to the hood of the De Ville and Calais series. The 1972 front bumper impact capability has been increased to withstand a five mile-an-hour car-to-car impact.
