                                                     Wednesday Afternoon

My Dear Stone. I write to you in great haste; having just returned from Liverpool; and having to dress and go out to dinner.
We are obliged to act for Miss Kelly on Saturday the 3rd. of January - short notice! We act Fletcher's Play (altered for purpose) of The Elder Brother, in which there is no character for you. But send for "Comfortable Lodgings" (No. 215 of Cumberland's Acting Plays) and study "Mr. Bonassus" at Railroad speed. That is the farce; and the part is a good one.
We rehearse both play and Farce on Friday Evening at Miss Kellys. We take the Play first, and begin at 6.
                                                                           Ever Yours
