My Dear Stone
I have (at half past six today) a little "Dombey dinner" here, to celebrate the close of the book. Necessity (and the size of a table) has no law, and I have been fain to leave out many I would have asked. Bradbury, one of my printers, is ill. Will you take his place, like a Trump? Write a word in answer, for the bearer is a frenchman.
Ever Faithfully
