My Dear Leech.
Oddly apropos of our vague intentions, I have received a note from White informing me of a "Testimonial" that is going to be given to him down there, on Thursday the 23rd.  Could you manage to go down on Wednesday the 22nd.--walking from Ryde as we proposed--and return on Christmas Eve?  The Evening of the 23rd. we might, if so dispoged, pass at Ryde or Portsmouth.
If you can contrive this, I am good for the enterprise, and will arrange the times and place of meeting.  Reply as soon as you can.
