Dear Mrs. Gaskell
I hasten to tell you, before the post goes out, that three pages and a half of Mary Barton (third Edition) make one page of my journal. I would rather that you occupy just as many pages as you think your design wants, than that I should put any constraints upon you.
In great haste
Faithfully Yours Ever
Charles Dickens
