Chaparral Sports-Racing Car in High-Speed Corner shows little roll thanks to light weight of fiberglass chassis, and low center of gravity. Because racing cars operate at extremely high temperatures, many of their components are made of silicones. Reinforced plastics have their strength boosted with adhesion promoters, painetd surfaces use silicone high temperature paints, and disc brakes (operating above 500 degrees Farenheit) use silicone rubber seals.
