 The experimental Sting Ray sports car is based on an advanced multi-tubular chassis with de Dion rear suspension and inboard rear brakes. Its crisp lines set exciting new standards for sports car styling.

Suspension- Front: Chevrolet independent with coil springs and ball joints; Rear: DeDion with coil springs and four-bar link location angled to control lateral motion; Shock absorbers: special Delco

Brakes-Modifed center-plane type, with Moraine sintered iron lingings. Compensated vacuum assist system. (Front brakes applied by master cylinder with vacuum assist; rear brakes applied by vacuum servo only, with provision for limiting rear brakeline pressure to prevent rear wheel lockup.) Cast iron drums with radial fins mounted inboard at rear.
