Chevrolet's 1989 Corvette...offers a host of new features. Available as coupe or convertible, Corvette has the most powerful small-block, 5.7 liter V8 with Tuned-Port Fuel Injection since the advent of low-compression engines. A new ZF 6-speed manual transmission with a unique computer-optimized gear selection mode revises first and second gear ratios to generate quicker off-line acceleration, while overdrive 5th and 6th gears provide excellent economy at highway speeds. The Delco Bilstein Ride Control system (FX3) is an innovative new suspension option abailalbe exclusively on the 1989 Corvette coupe with Z51 Performance Handling Package and 6-speed manual transmission. FX3 allows the driver to select one of three settings- Touring, Sport or Performance- to provide different shock absorber damping levels. A low tire pressure warning system - also new '89- monitors tire air pressure and indivates low tire pressure to the driver.
