TAVISTOCK HOUSE,
TAVISTOCK SQUARE, LONDON.W.C.
Sunday Sixteenth October 1859
My Dear Stone.
Arthur Smith has made some grotesque mistake in giving me "The Peacock" as the sign of the Hotel at Cambridge.  There is no such house; but there are two best Hotels, of which one is The Lion, and we are certain to be at that house or the other.  We go down at 10 minutes to 11 tomorrow morning, from the Bishopsgate Street Station.
Ever affecy
Charles Dickens
