Supposed to be from
GAD'S HILL PLACE,
HIGH BY ROCHESTER, KENT
--But really From the Office
Fifteenth November, 1861
My Dear Taylor.  I make no suggestion as to any part of the Memorial, simply because I think it really perfect in its manner of putting the case.  Not a word too much or a word too little.
To save time, perhaps you will kindly send it over to the Irish Office when it is copied out, with the accompanying note to Lord Carlisle.  When it comes back to you, here is another note to Lord Shaftsbury.  Lord Llanover and The Hon W. Cowper perhaps you will kindly look up.  I leave here, with Wills, in case you should want them, notes for
Chadwick
Southwood Smith
Rawlinson
and
Lawes.
I don't know about Mr. Albert Way.
I would propose to make one of your messengers a little present for his trouble in the matter, and Wills will instantly attend (in my absence) to any notes from you.  He knows where to find me, in the North, any day or hour.  I am very anxious to get the Memorial without delay into Ld. Palmerston's hands.
Ever Faithfully Yours
Charles Dickens
