Friday Ninth March 1860.
My Dear Morley.
I think you will agree with me that the enclosed seems to be the letter of a sensible and moderate tradesman. I have answered it, telling him that I have a respect for his way of stating his case, and that I have sent the letter on to the conscientious and thoroughly informed gentleman who wrote the paper. If you like to write him a word about the kneading—do—but I need not add that I send you the letter, only because I like the manner of the man.
Faithfully Yours always
Charles Dickens
