CD refers to the address, advertising Leech's exhibition of oil sketches at the Egyptian Hall, Piccadilly. CD also refers to a draft, written on a sheet of Leech's writing-paper, that reads "-which have been reproduced (much enlarged) on canvas by an ingenious new process, and | Painted in OIl | By Mr. Leech | The exhibition will open in the course of the month of May. Admission One Shilling" The exhibition in fact opened on Mon 2 June" (Pilgrim vol. 10 pp. 85-86).
