Notes: This image shows a fifteenth-century drawing of a king in what was once the lower margin of a manuscript leaf. The text on the reverse in an early-fourteenth century hand is from an unidentified legal treatise. The king may be one of the three Magi. He holds an urn and points to a star as he turns to look over his shoulder, possibly at his two companions.
