NEW PITCH FOR WILLIE: Lead-off man for the 1970 Chrysler TV commercials will be Willie Mays, of the San Francisco Giants. He is one of the three star athletes who will be advertising spokesmen for the Chrysler car on Chrysler-sponsored telecasts fo major sports events. Others are Daryle Lamonica, quarterback of the Oakland Raiders, and Lance Alworth, flanker for the San Diego Chargers. Commercials featuring Mays, Lamonica and Alworth appear on telecasts of major league divisional play-off baseball games and the World Series, regular season American Football League games, the Rose Bowl, Gator Bowl, Senior Bowl, the Desert Classic golf tournament and Pro Football Highlights.
