Notes:
ROBOTICS AND AUTOMATED PROCESSES are used extensively in the high-technology assembly of Chrysler Corporation's Windsor (Ontario) Assembly Plant, the production home of the all-new 1984 Dodge Caravan and Plymouth Voyager family wagons and the Dodge Mini Ram Van. Robot in top photo is transferring a floor pan assembly to a conveyor that carries it to the next operation (lower photo) where it is joined to the engine compartment. Various welding operations in the plant's automated body shop put 3,800 spot welds on each body.
